The protective gas bell comprises a gas release aperture (7) arranged in an interior of the bell over a putting-on-edge (14) and an element weldable with a counterpart, where a projection (13) is arranged at an innerwall (11) of the bell. The projection: is arranged between the putting-on-edge and the gas release aperture; radially extends itself toward a dependence such that it corresponds to the light aperture of the gas release aperture; and is continuously arranged in a circumferential direction of the inside wall so that an annular bead is formed. The protective gas bell comprises a gas release aperture (7) arranged in an interior of the bell over a putting-on-edge (14) and an element weldable with a counterpart, where a projection (13) is arranged at an innerwall (11) of the bell. The projection: is arranged between the putting-on-edge and the gas release aperture; radially extends itself toward a dependence such that it corresponds to the light aperture of the gas release aperture; is continuously arranged in a circumferential direction of the inside wall so that an annular bead is formed; is executed in a frusto-conical shape in the longitudinal section; is formed in one-piece with the bell; and comprises a guiding side oriented to the gas release aperture, where the guiding side is diagonally bent towards the putting on edge.
