<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte which improves cycle characteristics and suppresses deterioration in high-temperature storage characteristics, and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte comprising at least a lithium salt and a nonaqueous organic solvent is characterized by containing at least a diisocyanate compound (A) represented by general formula (1) and a cyclic carbonate (B) having a fluorine atom.
