<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head drive which can improve the resolution of printed matter printed by generation of heat of heating resistor parts, by making an interval of the heating resistor parts small even when a heat history part is constructed in the thermal head drive. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal head drive is equipped with a thermal head which has a plurality of the heat history parts for emitting outside remaining heat generated when the thermal head is driven to carry out printing to a photosensitive paper for every line. The plurality of heat history parts are staggered and composed of any metal of Cu, Al, Ag and Au for emitting the remaining heat.
