Method and composition for reducing the pain of wounds and superficially closed injuries using topically analgesic wound plaster comprising a skin adhesive area, which is present peripherally around a wound dressing, and is selectively introduced with a sodium channel blocker comprising a local anesthetic of ester- or amide type, are claimed.
