Disclosed are a password input method and device, applied to products or systems including password input. The method includes: when a password character is inputted, obtaining an input serial number of the current input character; judging whether the input serial number is an integer multiple of the packet length plus one, and if it is, then displaying the current input character, and displaying input characters before the current input character as hidden characters; and the packet display of the inputted password characters makes the user see whether there are mistakenly inputted characters. As compared to the prior art, it greatly avoids the situation of clearing all and inputting again due to mistaken character input, realizes packet-based password display mode in the password input process, and improves the ease of use of products or systems which include password input, and improves user experience. |
