<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a display device in which a drive power source of a transparent/scattering switching element for controlling scattering can be made compact and low-cost, in the display device in which visual angle ranges can be switched; a terminal device on which the display device is mounted; and a display panel incorporated in the terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 2 comprises a light source device 1 and a transmission type liquid crystal display panel 7, and the light source device 1 comprises a transparent/scattering switching element 122 which can be switched between a state where incident light is transmitted and a state where the light is scattered. The transmission type liquid crystal display panel 7 comprises pixels for display arranged in a matrix and drives the transparent/scattering switching element 122 by using electric power supply and a signal for driving the pixels, thereby there is no need to newly provide the signal and the electric power supply for the transparent/scattering switching element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
