<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl part structure which can improve pedestrian protection performance by sufficiently absorbing shock. <P>SOLUTION: In the cowl part structure 100, which includes a cowl top panel 108 arranged between a front hood 102 and windshield glass 104 of a vehicle, and a cowl top garnish 106 extending in a vehicle width direction and covering a cowl top panel, the cowl top garnish consists of: a top face part 114 disposed along the cowl top panel; a front end 116 arranged below the front hood, and having a tip inclined diagonally upward toward the front hood; an extension part 118 separating forward its front end position from the top face part by extending forward from the top face part and being connected to the rear end of the front end; and hood rear seal 112 fixed to the tip of the front end to come into contact with the front hood. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
