<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell death-inducing epitope; a polypeptide including it; a compound for inducing the cell death of an activated T-cell; a method for manufacturing an antibody to this epitope; a method for identifying a compound that binds to this epitope; a method for inducing the cell death of an activated T-cell; and a pharmaceutical composition including this compound. <P>SOLUTION: The isolated epitope includes a three-dimensional structure which is expressed by X1-X2-X3-X4-X5, (wherein, X1 is Tyr, Trp, His, or Met; X2 is Asp; X3 is Ser, Phe, Pro, Glu, or His; X4 is any amino acid; and X5 is Pro, Tyr, His, or Trp), and which is characterized in that binding of a ligand to this epitope on an activated T-cell induces the cell death of this activated T-cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
