<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of making a not-installing preventing means of a dust collecting body reliably work. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has the dust collecting body 3, a cover body 5 with a substantially U-shaped cross-section covering an upper part of the dust collecting body 3, and an operating body 7 arranged near the side fringe 10 of the cover body 5 and for preventing the cover body 5 from being completely closed when the dust collecting body 3 is not installed. An opening preventing boss part 11 for preventing the side fringe 10 from opening outward is arranged in a cover body abutting part 9 on which the cover body 5 of the operating body 7 abuts, it is possible to prevent the locking from being released by the side fringe 10 of the cover body 5 coming off to the outside of the operating body 7 even in the case the cover body 5 is pushed by a strong force in the condition where the closing of the cover body 5 is prevented by making the vicinity of the side fringe 10 of the cover body 5 with the substantially U-shaped cross-section with the low rigidity abut on the cover body abutting part 9 of the operating body 7 with the dust collecting body 3 not installed, and therefore the reliability of the operating body 7 can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
