There is provided a LED lamp assembly (200) comprising a heat sink (201) having a cooling structure with an outer circumference part (202) and a centre part (208), which supports a plurality of LEDs (203), the circumference part (202) further supports a plurality of cooling fins (207) extending inwardly towards the centre part (208) from the outer circumference part (202). The cooling fins (207) are tilted or partly tilted relative to a centre axis of the heat sink (201), and the material thickness of the cooling fins (207) decreases inwardly from the outer circumference part (202) towards the centre part (208) of the heat sink (201).
