<p>Split hollow rivets Method for forming a split hollow rivet from a cylindrical piece of forgeable metal comprises forming a head and blind hole in the longitudinal direction at one end of this metal. A set of sector shaped areas of the opposite end of this piece of metal is formed by making a number of grooves in it extending to near the bottom of the blind hole. Whilst the other end of the piece of metal is extended, the hole is deepened so that the hole partly coincides with the grooves and it connected with it.</p> |
