<p>Flameproof phenol-polyurethane foam. From heat-cured, cellular phenol-polyurethane foam (density 0.31 lb/cu.ft) obtd. from the reaction of a polyisocyanate and a polyol in the presence of a propellant. The polyol is 70-99% of a mixt. of monomers and polymers of ethers of mono-, di- and tri-methylolphenols with 30-1% a reactive polyol contng. at least 0.10% phosphorus. The flameproof foam may be used in domestic rooms and for industrial thermal insulation.</p> |
