<p>The method for inserting cotton wads into containers (26) uses a wad transport unit (2), which comprises two star wheels (4, 6), each having three wad holders (8, 10, 12. 14, 16. 18). The two star wheels (4, 6) are mounted rotatably on the same rotational axis (D) but with an offset from each other, and each star wheel (4, 6) is driven by its own separate drive means (20, 22). During rotation of the star wheels (4. 6), one (10, 16) of the three wad holders (8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18) of each star wheel (4, 6) is horizontally shifted in such a way that the three wad holders (8, 10, 12, 14. 16, 18) of each star wheel (4, 6) are arranged in a straight line (L) and are thus located above three containers (26) to be filled with the wads.</p> |
