Vanadium suboxide (VOx; 1-5 x 2.02) is produced in the form of aggregates or monocrystals by heating V2O5 to 450-550 degrees under a pressure of 10-2 min. Hg in the presence of V2O3, for less than 24 hrs. The product can be used for various purposes esp. electrotechnics. |
