Laminate having a wood surface bonded to a biaxially oriented film of an acrylonitrile polymer (I) by means of an acrylonitrile copolymer adhesive (II). (I) is a copolymer of at least 90 wt.% polymerised acrylonitrile and up to 10 wt.% of a polymerised vinyl monomer. (II) is a copolymer of 60-80 wt. % of acrylonitrile and 40-20 wt.% of an acrylic acid ester of a 1-10C alcohol. The laminate is resistant to weather and needs less maintenance such as painting. The surface is glossy and retains the pleasing appearance of wood.
