The lighting device comprises several lamps (1), and LEDs connected to a mains voltage operation unit (2) in normal operation. The operating unit is operated using a battery (5) in case of failure of mains voltage, in the emergency operation. A voltage detection unit detects the presence of normal operation or emergency operation, depending on the level of applied voltage, and in the emergency operation, the light flux of the light emitted by the lamp is reduced.
