Arrangements in network (RAN) sharing for transmission of system information such as neighbour cell frequency information are described. A set of common system information which applies to networks (PLMNs) sharing at least one shared cell is prepared. A set of dedicated system information which applies to at least one of the networks sharing the shared cell is prepared (S210). The dedicated system information is addressed only to UEs configured to support sharing. System information comprising the set of common system information and the set of dedicated system information is transmitted. The common system information indicates frequency channels used by neighbouring cells of the networks that share the shared cell (a unified BA list). The common system information is also transmitted in non-shared cells neighbouring the shared cell. Also disclosed is the use by a network of a different network identification element (NCC) in a shared cell to one used in a non-shared cell. Permission indicators based on the network identification elements are used to indicate to UEs which networks are allowed to be considered in cell reselection, measurement and reporting procedures. The invention allows mobility between shared and non-shared cells while minimising signalling and unnecessary UE measurement and reporting of cells to which the UE has no access. |
