A connector 10 for component connection in a modular construction set comprises a hollow drum 11; 11a,11b containing at least one electrical conductor 18 and provided at its outer circumference with at least two axially spaced-apart annular flanges 13 for mechanical connection with at least one other component of the set and between the flanges with at least one opening 17, preferably a set of circumferentially spaced-apart openings 17, extending between the inner circumference and outer circumference of the drum. The connector 10 further comprises an electrical connecting device 20 extending through the opening 17 or a selected one of the openings 17 to provide an electrical connection between the conductor 18 and a component mechanically connected with the flanges 13, particularly a component connected with the flanges in orthogonal relationship relative to the drum. |
