PURPOSE: A marker gene relating to tomato male fertility is provided to selecting male sterility at initial stage and to develop F1 heterosis tomato. CONSTITUTION: A gene relating to male sterility of tomato is MYB transcriptor, Self pruning 2G, 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase, zinc finger family, peroxidase, S-locus lectin protein kinase, or S-locus receptor kinase. A primer set for diagnosing male sterility of tomato is an oligonucleotide set of sequence numbers 1 and 2, sequence numbers 3 and 4, sequence numbers 5 and 6, sequence numbers 7 and 8, sequence numbers 9 and 10, sequence numbers 11 and 12, sequence numbers 13 and 14, sequence numbers 15 and 16, or sequence numbers 17 and 18. A kit for diagnosing male sterility of tomato comprises the primer set and reagent for performing amplification. A method for diagnosing male sterility of tomato comprises: a step of isolating genome DNA from a tomato sample; a step of performing PCR using the primer set; and a step of detecting PCR product. |
