METHOD FOR CHEMICAL-THERMAL PROCESSING OF IRON-CARBON ALLOYS

The invention relates to material science. A method for chemical-thermal processing of iron-carbon alloys which comprises the heating of iron-carbon alloys and soaking at temperature 580- in saturated medium in furnace, at that superheated steam of 50 % aqueous solution of silicates is used as saturated medium and after soaking alloys are cooled in furnace to temperature 500- and further on air to environmental temperature. The invention provides increase of operating properties and corrosion resistance of alloys.
