PURPOSE: A carbon heater preventing arc discharge is provided to prevent dust or foreign substances floating or falling around lead lines from causing a short circuit and discharge, thereby reducing influence on surroundings and improving safety of the carbon heater. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode terminal(41) and a negative electrode terminal(42) are hermetically connected to one end of a quartz glass tube. A carbon heater(20) is equipped within the quartz glass tube in the longitudinal direction. A positive lead line(31) connects the positive electrode terminal to one end of the carbon heater. A negative lead line(32) connects the negative electrode terminal to another end of the carbon heater. A first insulation tube(51) surrounds the positive lead line. A second insulation tube(52) surrounds the negative lead line. |
