A flow combiner comprises a piston 15 having end-pieces 14 provided with Venturi passages 20, 21 serving to connect inlet chambers 25, 26 with outlet chamber 18 defined by a groove in the piston. The throat pressures in passages 20, 21 are communicated to chambers at the ends of the piston. The outer ends of end-pieces function as closure members during movement of the piston. With reversed flow the valve acts as a flow divider. In Fig. 2, inlet chambers 38, 39 communicate through Venturi passages 36, 37 in member 35 with outlet chamber 33. Member 35 is carried by rolling diaphragms 46, 47 which respond to the throat pressures via passages 50, 51.</p> |
