An arrangement is disclosed for triggering a user equipment that is not connected to a network. In machine type communications, there is a need for reducing network activity. However, at the same time there is a need to be able to wake up a device. In the disclosed arrangement, the network detaches the user equipment locally (12) and the user equipment is then triggered (13-16) when needed.
