PURPOSE: A method for providing the newest content notification service, a system thereof, and a recording medium thereof are provided to improve user convenience by providing the newest content matching the interest of a user before the user's request. CONSTITUTION: A notification request determining unit(200) of a content server(20) checks if a terminal(10) is able to play content or not based on a command received from the terminal. A newest content selecting unit(230) of the content server selects content from content satisfying the interest of a terminal user. If the terminal plays the content, a notification control unit(250) of the content server provides information about the selected content to the terminal.
