The arrangement has a recovery unit (2) for recovering electrical power from heat of a heat discharging component e.g. heat sink and furnace, or product (1) i.e. slab. A plate-like thermoelectric element (4) i.e. thermogenerator, is turned towards a surface (3) of the component or product for converting heat into the electrical power. The thermoelectric element directly or indirectly contacts the surface of the component or product via a contact surface (5). The contact surface is formed by a metallic layer (7) that is galvanically applied on an upper surface (6) of the thermoelectric element.
