PURPOSE: A composition and a cosmetic composition containing an Inulae Radix extract are provided to induce renal cancer cell apoptosis and to treat renal cancer. CONSTITUTION: A composition for treating renal cancer contains an Inulae Radix extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using ethanol at 50 deg. C. for 24 hours, and dried and concentrated at 45 deg. C. The composition contains a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluents. The renal cancer is kidney cell cancer.
