<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device advantageous to prevent false detection of catching a foreign object by a shutter curtain, even when a landing sensor is provided to one of guide rails and, of course, even when the landing sensor is provided to both of the guide rails. <P>SOLUTION: A shutter device includes: a sensor pressing part 24 for a pressing operation of a landing sensor 5 to be turned on; and a sensor 3 rotatably provided with respect to a shutter curtain 2 via a rotary shaft 27 on a tip side of the shutter curtain 2. When the sensor 3 contacts with a foreign object along with a closing operation of the shutter curtain 2, the sensor 3 rotates about a rotary shaft 27 while contacting with the foreign object.
