<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device and a radio communication method of a new digital cordless telephone set which can avoid harmful radio wave interference with a control channel important to PHS operation and increase frequency utilization efficiency as a speech channel. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication method of the invention receives a frequency band allocated to a digital cordless telephone set and a frequency band allocated to a PHS, measures and outputs the received electric field strength of the received signal, monitors output of the received electric field strength of a signal received continuously for a certain time, determines whether or not there is interference from a signal transmitted by a fixed station of the PHS by measuring the time width and frequency when the received electric field strength at or above a prescribed threshold appears, sets the frequency band and slot timing such that the interference will be avoided if it has been determined there is interference, and transmits communication data by the frequency band and slot timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
