DUAL MATERIAL BRUSH AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A hetero-metal junction brush and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to manufacture the brush with hetero-junction using a copper material relatively cheaper than silver, thereby improving wear resistance and durability. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a hetero-metal junction brush comprises: a first powder mixing step(S110) of mixing 80 to 90 wt% of copper powder and 10 to 20 wt% of graphite powder; a first filling step(S120) of filling a first mixing powder to the reference line of a mold; a second powder mixing step(S130) of mixing 40 to 90 wt% of silver powder, 9 to 50 wt% of graphite powder, and 1 to 10 wt% of manganese; a second filling step(S140) of filling a second mixing powder on the first mixing powder; a molding step(S150) of implementing press-molding at a pressure of 0.5 to 1.5 Ton/cm2; and a heat-treating and sintering step(S160) of heat-treating and sintering a molded article at a temperature of 700 to 900°C for 22 to 26 hours in an inert atmosphere. The reference line of the mold is more than 2/3 of the whole filling amount. The reference line of the mold is 2/3 to 4/5 of the whole filling amount.
