The processing plant has a grinding- and sieving system with a recirculation of a coarse grain fraction of the product stream for further crushing in the grinding system. A unit is provided for continuous measurement of the oxygen concentration at critical points of the closed area of the plant. Another unit is provided for controlled introduction of an inert gas in the closed area with a slight pressure as cover gas in the treatment process and with increased pressure and increased volume flow for flushing the plant. Nitrogen is used as inert gas.
