<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction due to a difference in a gradation characteristic which differs in accordance with edge width. <P>SOLUTION: An edge determination section 521 determines whether respective pixels constituting inputted image data are the pixels constituting an edge or not to detect the pixel of an edge section. The edge determination section 521 detects the edge width which is the width of the edge section on the detected pixel of the edge section. When the edge width detected by an edge width detection processing in the edge determination section 521 is four dots or below, an edge gradation correction section 522 performs different gradation correction on the basis of the detected edge width. The edge gradation correction section 522 performs the gradation correction to make a density value of the pixel whose edge width is determined to be narrow becomes larger than that of the pixel whose edge width is determined to be wide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
