Method of manufacture of a part with surfaces that have a defined appearance, especially a wood grain appearance, has the following steps: production of a part with dimensions matching those of the finished product and production of a wood grain pattern on the part surface using an inkjet printer that is controlled so that the wood grain pattern on adjoining surfaces (90-96) matches at the edges formed between the two surfaces.
