PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption in a system by selectively deactivating image processing blocks by using an UI(User Interface) image. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays an UI(User Interface) image by generating a set event(S100). If the selected setup for an image processing block is received from a user input unit, the control unit calculates and displays a power consumption rate corresponding to the selected setup(S110,S120). If the selected setup is received, the control unit controls the power supply of a power supply unit according to the selected setup(S130,S140).
