PURPOSE: A remote file management method and an image forming system thereof are provided to enable a WebDAV(Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) client to conveniently manage files stored in an image forming device by using the image forming device including a WebDAV server. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface unit(110) receives printing data through a network, and a control unit(180) processes printing data and executes a printing process according to the processed printing data. An UI(User Interface) unit(185) receives user input for selecting a scan option or a printing option. The UI unit receives user input or remotely share files stored in a storage unit by using a WebDAV protocol. A WebDAV server(130) embedded in an MFP(Multi-Function Printer) allows clients to remotely share the files stored in the storage unit.
