PURPOSE: A vehicular U-turn auxiliary system and method are provided to allow a driver to identify information for assisting a U-turn such as a U-turn progression rate and a minimum turning radius through an audio-visual monitor, and to previously recognize the manipulation timing of a steering wheel before manipulation, thereby quickly and safely making the U-turn. CONSTITUTION: A vehicular U-turn auxiliary system includes a control ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(130) and a displayer(140). The control ECU receives vehicle information for a SAS(Steering Angle Sensor)(110), turn signals(112), a steering angle from a gear, turn signals on/off, and the gear through CAN(Controller Area Network) communication, and determines whether or not a U-turn is made. The control ECU calculates a U-turn progression rate and a minimum turning radius based on a steering angle calculated from a stationary state, a vehicle velocity(116), and measured values from a gyro sensor and an earth magnetic sensor(118). The displayer displays the U-turn progression rate and the minimum turning radius. After a vehicle stops, the control ECU determines a state in which the gear is in D(Drive), the turn signals are turned on, and the vehicle turns at an angle of 90 degrees as a state in which the U-turn is made.
