The turbo machine has a rotatably mounted rotor (2), an inner housing (3) and an outer housing (4) that is arranged around the inner housing, where the inner housing is arranged around the rotor. Two flow channels (5,6) are formed between the rotor and the inner housing. The flow directions of the flow channels are arranged opposite to each other. Two exhaust chambers (11,12) are arranged in the outer housing and are fluidically separated from each other by a seal (13) that is formed as spherical seal. An independent claim is included for a steam turbine plant with an inflow area that is connected with an inlet of an intermediate superheater unit.
