PURPOSE: A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the transmittance of a unit pixel region by using a multi domain alignment layer. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate and an opposite substrate are provided(S10). Unit pixel regions are defined in the array substrate and the opposite substrate. A lower polymer layer is formed on a pixel electrode. An upper polymer layer is formed on a common electrode(S20). Each pretilt angle is formed in the upper and the lower polymer layer by using an air injection method in order to form an upper and a lower alignment layer(S30).
