PURPOSE: A pyroelectric sensor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form electrodes on both sides of a pyroelectric material having good pyroelectric properties by mixing tourmaline powder into a strong dielectric substance or the tourmaline powder with permanent magnet powder, thereby manufacturing the pyroelectric sensor with excellent pyroelectric properties. CONSTITUTION: A pyroelectric sensor comprises a lower electrode(20) and an upper electrode(40). The lower electrode is formed in the lower part of a pyroelectric material(30), and the upper electrode is formed on the upper part of the pyroelectric material. The pyroelectric material is formed of a mixture of a strong dielectric inorganic substance and tourmaline powder. The strong dielectric inorganic substance is a PZT(Piezoelectric Lead Zirconate Titanate). |
