PURPOSE: A video surveillance system and method detects a normal state of an object according to a status recognition tracking analysis. CONSTITUTION: A traictory information extractor(101) extracts the traictory information of the object from the video image which filmed the predetermined area A traictory ontology generator(103) generates a traictory ontology. A traictory ontology storage unit(105) stores the traictory ontology. A normal state decision unit(107) determines if the traictory information of the object is in the normal state based on the traictory ontology.
