A METHOD FOR DECONTAMINATION OF RADIOACTIVE-CONTAMINATED ASPHALT CONCRETE

PURPOSE: A decontaminating method for an ASCON(Asphalt Concrete) contaminated with a radiation material is provided to minimize a radioactive waste by decontaminating before separating asphalt, coarse aggregates, and fine aggregates from the bulk of the ASCON for road pavement. CONSTITUTION: An ASCON contaminated by a radioactive substance is dissolved in an organic solvent and an asphalt component is separated(S100). The separated asphalt component is collected(S200). A thick aggregate and a fine aggregate which are not dissolved in an organic solvent are classified(S300). A radioactive substance is collected from the classified fine aggregate(S400).
