PURPOSE: A content processing device and a method thereof are provided to easily and quickly identify contents by transmitting the information of a program for executing the contents to a user. CONSTITUTION: A content processing device(100) includes a communication unit(402), a display unit(403), and a control unit(401). If contents displayed on the display unit are selected, the control unit detects a first identifier of the selected contents and a second identifier of a content execution program. The control unit transmits the detected first and the second identifiers to a server through the communication unit(500).
