<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive return light of a two-beam optical system by a common light reception part and to perform proper luminous flux division for light reception. <P>SOLUTION: A common light reception part receives a luminous flux reflected on an optical disk of a luminous flux from a plurality of light sources by a semiconductor laser diode. In this case, an optical system guides the luminous flux emitted from each of the plurality of light sources and reflected on the optical disk to a luminous flux division plane of the light reception part in a state spot diameters are substantially the same.
