<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for estimating the location of a terminal using multiple location estimating schemes, in which location estimation errors are reduced and simultaneously, a more robust location estimation result can be provided. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus comprises a multiple location estimating module configured to estimate first locations of a terminal, based on a magnetic field affecting the terminal from each of a plurality of location estimating units estimating the location using a plurality of location estimating schemes to the terminal, and a location determining unit configured to determine a second location of the terminal on the basis of the estimated first locations of the terminal. Preferably, by controlling an initial condition (e.g., a location estimation starting time and an initial parameter of each location estimating scheme) applied to each of the plurality of location estimating units, even if a magnitude, a pattern and a direction of the same or similar magnetic field is continued in various areas, the location of the terminal can be estimated more accurately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
