<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus that decreases the frequency of quality degradation of an output image resulting from a mass of toner, by making it difficult for a mass of toner to leak from a gap between a developing sleeve 6 and a scatter prevention sheet 200a even in a case where a mass of toner occurs inside the scatter prevention sheet 200a. <P>SOLUTION: The scatter prevention sheet 200a blocks scattered toner by bringing its leading end into contact with developer between a developing area A and a layer thickness regulation blade 5. In a scatter prevention cover 200b, a flat U-shaped projecting portion limits the movement of the leading end of the scatter prevention sheet 200a in the direction of thickness on the outside of a developer carrying area of the developing sleeve 6. The scatter prevention sheet 200a is arranged by bringing a sheet surface into contact with the developer held on the developing sleeve 6. The adhesion range of the scatter prevention sheet 200a reaches as far as the leading end of the scatter prevention sheet 200a rather than the contact position between the scatter prevention sheet 200a and the developer held on the developing sleeve 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
