<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head capable of preventing the adhesion of a thermal activation component on a heat generating element while suppressing the deterioration of heat transfer efficiency, a method for manufacturing the thermal head, and a thermal printer. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal head 10 for expressing adhesion (thermal head) including the heat generating element 14 includes, on the main surface 12a of a substrate 12; a heat generating element protection part 28 covering the heat generating element 14; an upstream-side protection part 27 covering a more upstream side than the heat generating element protection part 28; and a downstream-side protection part 26 covering a more downstream side than the heat generating element protection part 28. A surface 28a of the heat generating element protection part 28 is formed at a level lower than a surface 27a of the upstream-side protection part 27 and a surface 26a of the downstream-side protection part 26, and covered with a heat activation component adhesion preventing layer 20. A surface 20a of the heat activation component adhesion preventing layer 20 is formed at the level lower than the surface 27a of the upstream-side protection part 27 and the surface 26a of the downstream-side protection part 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
