PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding material which can make uneven shading and moire inconspicuous.

SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave shielding material 30 includes a conductive mesh 40 defining an opening region 42. The conductive mesh is formed of a large number of border lines 48 extending between two branch points 46 and defining the opening region 42. The conductive mesh includes a region that includes at least two kinds of opening region out of an opening region surrounded by five border lines, an opening region surrounded by six border lines, and an opening region surrounded by seven border lines. The areas of a plurality of opening regions surrounded by the same number of border lines out of the five, six or seven border lines included in the region are not constant.
