<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker and warmer for notifying a user of the fact that steam is being supplied into a pot for a necessity minimum period, preventing handleability from being damaged and preventing the user from erroneously opening a lid body, in a rice cooker for improving a rice cooking performance by utilizing high temperature steam at or above a water boiling point. <P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker and warmer includes a display 6 for displaying the fact that the steam is being supplied.
