<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance visibility of a charging cable. <P>SOLUTION: A material having luminous properties is used for a material that forms at least a part of a portion exposed at a surface of a charging cable 1. Accordingly, when an electric vehicle 100 is charged at night, the charging cable 1 laid on the ground emits light by means of behavior of a luminous material. More specifically, as a result that enhancement of visibility of the charging cable 1 can be achieved by causing the surface thereof to emit the light, a person hardly stumbles over the charging cable 1 and enhancement of safety can be achieved. In addition, the surface of the charging cable 1 is caused to emit the light by light radiating from the luminous material. Accordingly, extra power consumption can be suppressed and energy saving or power saving can be achieved unlike the case that an electric light source such as a light-emitting diode is installed in the surface of the charging cable 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
