PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device capable of suppressing an increase in network load in a network which offers a multicast service.

SOLUTION: A gateway device of the present invention comprises: request receiving means for receiving a service provision request for a multicast service from a terminal; service selection means for selecting the multicast service given to the terminal on the basis of a type of the service provision request received by the request receiving means and transmitting a service provision request for the selected multicast service to a network; and transmission timing determination means for determining a timing of transmitting the service provision request received by the request receiving means to the network on the basis of terminal behavior information when a multicast service different from the multicast service of the service provision request received by the request receiving means is selected by the service selection means.
