<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a communication method capable of easily detecting and correcting a communication error in a USB interface, and a printer device used for the communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A printer device 20 comprises: a connection unit 22 to which a USB cable 30 connected to a host 10 is connected; a receiving unit 26 for receiving a ping signal that is periodically transmitted from the host 10 and shows a normal communication state of the USB cable 30, through the connection unit 22; and a control unit 26 for, when the ping signal is not received for a predetermined time, switching the USB cable 30 to a non-connection state and then performing re-connection setting to a connection state again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
